The Lambeth Cake design is as popular as ever - it's vintage feel and pretty hand piped intricate layers of patterns makes it a truly stunning and beautiful cake design.  

During this class we'll guide you through every stage.  We'll start by making the ultimate buttercream, perfect for flat icing your heart shaped vanilla cake.  We'll crumb coat and ice the cake in the colour of your choice. 

You'll be shown how to pipe correctly to create consistent patterns and symmetrical lines and be shown a variety of different nozzles - all of which you'll be able to practice lots before working on the cake.  

We'll finish by making some chocolate heart shaped toppers to complete the look. 

This class is perfect for anyone wanting to develop their piping skills further and who wants to try their hand at a different cake design.     The vanilla cakes will be pre-baked by Baker & Chef and are 22cm wide, and two layers of sponge.  You'll be given the recipe for the cake along with a hand out on piping techniques, plus a list of nozzles that we use and where you can purchase these from. 

You'll leave with such a pretty cake that will certainly wow your friends and family.  What's more it will taste yummy too!

We’ll then walk you through how to pipe various shapes and styles using the most popular piping nozzles.   You’ll get to practice lots before going in for the final pipe!  Lastly topping your cupcakes with sprinkles of your choice. 

You’ll leave feeling confident to try this out at home and wow your friends!  Our scrumptious vanilla sponge recipe will also be shared.

The ultimate cakepop class - the perfect girls night out! 

In this class you’ll each be given 12 pre-baked Baker & Chef vanilla cupcakes, ready for you to start decorating.  

You’ll learn the techniques to pipe 4 different flowers (creating 3 of each), using American buttercream.  The flowers include:

- A David Austin Rose 
- An Allium Bloom 
- Cherry Blossom

We’ll show you how to make the perfect American Buttercream to the correct consistency for piping flowers. We’ll talk you through all the various piping nozzles which we’ll be using and demonstrate the piping technique for each flower and all the tips and tricks.

This class is ideally suited to those bakers who’ve had some experience of using a piping bag before but it isn't essential as we'll guide you through everything. 

You’ll leave with 12 beautiful cupcakes boxed up, and presented in our very own Baker & Chef box.

Spring & Summer Flower Collection - Piping Techniques 

A really fun class for you both to enjoy.   This activity is really suitable for all ages.  We suggest no younger than 6yrs and we have plenty of older children who also like to join, but with their parent. 

Come and join us in making a colourful collection of cakesicles.  
In this class we’ll show you the art of making cake pops, using silicon moulds. We’ll use a selection of moulds and show you the technique for coating the moulds with chocolate ensuring a shiny finish.  

You’ll choose your colour palette before colouring the chocolate accordingly.    Each cake pop is filled with a delicious vanilla sponge and buttercream. 

After un-moulding your cake pops, we’ll show you how to decorate your pops using various techniques and then we’ll let you lose in the sprinkles bar – so that you can finish them off with an individual flourish! 

Working together to create these treats, you’ll l leave with  8 Cake Pops between you and a selection of chocolatey decorations.

My granddaughter and I spent a lovely time together yesterday making pop cakes.  The venue is on the site of the former Ormeau Gasworks building. We were greeting on arrival with a welcome drink and cookies. The kitchen is beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. When all the families arrived we gave here’d around the demonstration table and were given practical instructions. Then it was our turn to use everything provided to make a selection of beautiful pop cakes and chocolates. Coffee, tea and juice was available throughout the morning. We were given a lovely box in which to transport our  confections home. 
Our host was brilliant and I would thoroughly recommend her classes. We hope to return in the future to enjoy more classes.

Received a fantastic and easy to follow demo and left to our devices. I liked this as we were given creative control or if we wanted help it was there if need be.

The studio was clean and an instagrammers haven.

Already thinking of my next excuse to go again.

Three of us did the cakepops and prosecco night! This event is so worthwhile! There was endless bottles of prosecco, but also options for those who were not drinking alcohol, there were so many treats and pizza. In relation to the cakepops, there was a perfect balance of having some elements prepared so that it wasnt too difficult, but still allowing us to be creative and learn some skills. I would definitely recommend for a girly night out, I would even go again!
